During my entire tenure with sapient I was deployed at client location; Fidelity International Limited (FIL). I was part of DC institutional development team at FIL where a pension reform project was on. Pension reform project was mix of regulatory change as well as IT infrastructure upgrade change to support bulk enrolment of new joiner. DC stands for Defined Contribution type of pension scheme where employee & employer contribute toward build a corpus which would be returned as pension after employee's retirement. The amount is invested in market to accelerate the return in maximum way. As regulatory change, from October 2012 it is duty of employer to enroll all its employees in pension scheme. With the prospect effect to this change FIL expected bulk enrolment for pension members scheme for institutional client. I worked on PlanViewer application which is web based portal and enables employers and employees to manage plans and accounts online, at any time. A member can see his/her growth of his investment as well he can opt of fund switch, charts etc much more. As pension reform project we have introduced new features like self service.

My workplace was around 10 km from residence. I used to take office cab to reach there. I reached my office at sharp 8.00 AM daily. I started working at 8.30 and finish about 5.05. I worked for large this financial company and there were 30 people in my team including manager, team lead and testing people. I had desk with PC and telephone. From PC I could access office corporate intranet as well as internet. Though social networking sites such as facebook, twitter etc were blocked. For full internet access we had dedicated machine on our office floor.Our team was technical team and thus we fulfilled IT requirements to the company's business. Business asks us to provide IT solution to various business requirements or improve existing product(s) of the company. If any business person need an IT solution/help than he/she raises a Business Engagement Group (BEG request) which later allocated to team. It means some of the BEGs come to my team which later are assigned to us as an individual in the team.My job was to analyze BEG, design according to existing design, implement and do unit testing. My responsibilities includes communicating with business to make things clear and propose solution with best quality. I involve in getting code QA done defect fixing found in system testing and finally complete wiki pages and DRF pages.All of us, of course, do not interact with actual client of financial institute and thus we do not see any of them.

Guys, let me dictate you my journey with Wirkle technologies. Primarily, I'm one of the lead developers with fairly broad technical responsibility for design and implementation of whatever the team is working on at the time. I also have a reasonable amount of involvement in requirements gathering and client contact and support, as well as a good deal of involvement in documentation writing. I started in March 2007, and have been at Wirkle for over three and half years.When I joined Wirkle, needless to say it was startup at that time. There were around 15 people including me and 4-5 interns. Company was not registered in India and thus name of the organization was Wirkle Incorporation. Company was founded by three persons two them are graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and was for Delhi College of Engineering. They started company with one mobile product called LinkNSurf which enables users to subscribe RSS of news, pictures, videos etc. When I joined the organization it was already in production and people around the globe started using it. Company started providing service in telecom domain. I started to extend linknsurf product to make enterprise product. I had experience in Sybase and done certification in Oracle but I was new to java technology. I worked hard to learn java and servlet technologies and very soon I became technically good.
