As the Director of Health and Safety, I spearhead the strategic development and implementation of our comprehensive, COR-certified OHS program, ensuring the well-being of our most valuable asset—our people. As a Senior Manager of Health and Safety, I've spearheaded a company-wide HSE program, leading a team of professionals across three provinces with over 4,000 employees. My role as an HR Coordinator with Gateway Casinos was my first step into my BBA designation on a large scale. I worked with a team to handle the majority of the HR cycle, including recruitment, investigations, OHS, training, benefits administration, and reporting to the executive team. My most major role in this position was overseeing the Health and Safety program at our flagship location, The Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby. My passion and dedication to Health & Safety led our team to a 30% decrease in injury and claim costs within my first year of the role.

In this role, I worked passionately with the CUTCO Cutlery product line by sharing the product with my customers through one on one appointments that were set through personal referrals and recommendations. This allowed me to build and maintain long lasting relationships with all of my clients, which helped them have a better and more personalized experience with the product. I also demonstrated CUTCO at various home and trade shows in B.C in addition to providing free product-servicing to all of my clients. Finally, my role allowed me to assist in the development of other sales representatives and managers within the company.

This role allowed me to share the Vector opportunity with others while running my second student summer business. At Vector, we developed skills for life in all of our sales representatives. My role as branch manager allowed me to teach and develop these "skills for life" through providing comprehensive sales trainings, various team meetings and events, perpetual personal coaching/support and the opportunity to work in a real world work environment while still working in a low-key and relaxed situation.Specifically, my job was to recruit and train all of the CUTCO sales representatives within a certain territory and then help them be as successful as possible in the position while managing team sales and office sales targets.
