Zane Brink has unparalleled experience in the ever-changing transmission industry, starting his 25-year career as a Foreman/Lineman and working his way up primarily through the ranks of the family-owned business. He rejoined Brink after earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.Mr. Brink became President and Senior Manager of the Transmission Line Division in 2008. His work over the last two decades has ranged from designing transmission lines to estimation and managing the construction of 5kV to 345kV transmission projects. Mr. Brink also has extensive experience in using helicopters (heavy-lift and side-pull) to aid in the construction of transmission projects. Mr. Brink is well known and respected in the electrical construction industry and has a reputation of completing projects safely, on time and within budget.

Warren Pfenning’s career with Brink began as a Groundman on a 115kV transmission line for Ottertail Power Co. in 1973. He’s been with Brink ever since, gaining experience as Operator, Lineman, and Project Superintendent before taking his current position as Vice President/Project Manager in 1992.Mr. Pfenning’s extensive line experience ranges from complex distribution voltage conversions to constructing new transmission projects. He is also very well versed in substation construction, from minor additions to complete yard installations up to and including 500kV. In his current position, he continues to manage projects and maintains liaisons with project Owners while also coordinating material, equipment, and subcontractors and supervising Foreman to ensure successful project completion. Similar to the entire company, Mr. Pfenning’s focus in the field remains on safety and quality in construction.

Stacey has grown up as a 3rd generation family member-owner, learning the ins and outs of Brink Constructors and began working full-time in 1987. Previously she had completed her undergraduate at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and received her Master’s in Accounting and Business from the University of Wisconsin. Before working at Brink, she spent time working for a foundry as their internal auditor and CPA.Ms. Brown became Secretary/Treasurer of Brink in 2006. Currently, she manages all of the day to day activities that occur in the office and has invaluable knowledge and understanding of how the Substation and Transmission Line construction interacts with finances. She oversees the financials and insures that banking and bonding capabilities are available at all times. She has obtained clear audits since her oversight of the financials. Ms. Brown is constantly looking for ways to improve the way the Brink office is operated to make it a smooth running operation.

The Transmission Line Division has expertise in wood and steel pole structures along with conductor and fiber optic work. Brink has constructed transmission lines up to 500kV. We pride ourselves on being able to complete any task put in front of us. Our Transmission division employs some of the best people in the electrical business, who work hard to get the job done right the first time, and on time.

The Substation Division has completed over 700 substation or switchyard projects. The projects "Scope of Work" has varied from small additions to complete "Turn Key" installations. Brink has constructed substations from 5kV to 500kV. We have pride in our reputation for a safe working environment and completing quality projects in accordance with the owner's schedule and specifications.
