This was a work experience placement part of my NVQ Business Administration Level 2 course. During this placement my primary role was as an administration assistant, helping the efficient function of the business on a day to day basis. As part of my role I was required to perform a variety of tasks, which involved interaction with clients while working on the switchboard, using the photocopier to copy, scan and send working documents as well as binding and organising for distribution, filing invoices, archiving documents, sorting the internal and external post, operating the franking machine for outgoing mail, created new databases and worked on spreadsheets via data entry. One of the highlights of this placement was having the opportunity to assist staff during a company open day, one of my roles being to meet and greet visitors. Show less
