Contract and guide guest presenters/performers, as needed. • Mentor, empower, and supervise young people in their leadership roles as interns, members of teen focus and advisory groups and teen writers for the Teen Blog.
Coordinator Of Family, Teen And Multigenerational Learning
• Oversee the monthly multigenerational program, How Did They Do That?. The program is developed in collaboration with curators and conservators and staffed by trained contractual staff. Each monthly program has a different theme and an average of 500 participants. Curatorial and logistical permissions are sought and reports document each customized program. • Project manage the logistics, staffing, social media and publication materials for museum-wide festivals and contribute to the development of theme and activities. Festivals typically host upwards of 1500 people, with a staff list of as many as 100. All are realized in collaboration with multiple museum departments and outside collaborators.• Collaborate with the Development department to create and host private events on for museum members of the Met Family Circle strata and above.• During the four-month search for an educator in charge of Family Programs, worked with Emily Blumenthal to manage the family programs, handling contractual scheduling, planning the next season of events and themes, being a point of contact for the contractual and volunteer corps.• Actively working to develop a marketing calendar and system to expand our outreach for the Family, Teen and Multigenerational Learning team, with information from Communications department liaisons.• Schedule and communicate with the full corps of Family Programs volunteers, numbering about five dozen for all Family Programs, festivals and How Did They Do That? sessions.• Teach various audiences, including teens, multigenerational audiences and lead school group tours.
