CurrentDollarSaver Program is an e-commerce program designed to create a new revenue stream for radio and television stations with non-radio/TV advertisers. It is currently active in 26 markets and on over 50 radio / television stations. Co-owned by Brit Johnson, the DollarSaver Program began in the early 90's by my partner Brian Phoenix. In 2006 we retooled it for the internet. The basis of the program is simple. We partner with a radio or TV station and train their sales staff to aquire goods and services from area businesses through barter. In return the business gets an advertising package. We then sell the bartered goods/services at a discount to the listeners/viewers of the station(s) in the form of certificates. Our system provides instant gratification to the customer by allowing him/her to print their aquired certificate instantly. The DollarSaver system tracks all inventory and sales; provides financial and sales reports while creating a retail store that is open 24/7. We sell certificates to restaurants, shoe stores, oil changes, day spas, clothing stores, hotel getaways, ski tickets, water parks, golf courses and plenty more. Big ticket items have sold as well...cars, motorcycles, school courses, large wedding packages, HD TV's, $1,000 gift cards to Home Depot, and appliances to name a few. The stations love the program because it allows them to target non-advertisers and turn them into cash; the listeners/viewers love it because they save 30-50% at local businesses and the businesses love it because they can now advertise without spending cash!
