My role involves managing financing, securing investors, and leading a team that includes attorneys, architects, builders, and engineers. I've developed customized legal processes for reviewing loan documents, titles, sales, and construction contracts. I negotiate contracts with a risk-management lens that I’ve developed from years of experience on the job site. I manage the builder and can read plans and coordinate complicated construction details. On the side, I have also remodeled several homes and built an ADU in Chestnut that was featured in a number of architectural publications.

I led pro-housing advocacy efforts and developed expertise about the Land Development Code and associated criteria manuals. I’ve actively advocated for improvements at both Council and staff level. I met with Council offices to advocate for AIC policy goals and drafted resolutions that were picked up by Council offices. I met with City leadership as a stakeholder and through AIC-initiated meetings to improve policies within the Development Services Department. I participated in state-level pro-housing advocacy, providing feedback on bill ideas and reviewing draft language. I testified at the Capitol and at Council in support of pro-housing initiatives and spoke on housing-related panels. My long-standing participation on the AIC board has helped me establish deep roots within the infill development and pro-housing community in Austin.

Handled all protective orders at the Williamson County Attorney's Office. Managed a large case load and represented victims of family violence/sexual assault/stalking at protective order hearings. Provided safety planning and legal advice. Set up policies and procedures to improve the protective order process. Created a new family violence bond, advocated for its adoption with the court, and trained law enforcement regarding its implementation.
