Adjudicated 60 Social Security Disability claims (SSDI/SSI) each month based on complex medical documentation and applicable Social Security disability law with a federal accuracy rate of 99%. Managed, simultaneously, the pipeline/life cycle of up to 200 disability claims to ensure determinations were made in the designated time frame. Reviewed elaborate medical and psychological records. Used Social Security Criteria to determine acceptable medical diagnoses. Determined the mental and physical residual functional capacity of each claimant. Provided crisis intervention to resolve problems, assess the need for professional services, and mediate disputes and conflicts. Consulted with clinical psychologists and physicians to increase medical understanding of complicated psychological and medical issues. Prepared a written determination of disability that analyzed medical findings, vocational issues, and applicable Social Security disability legal policy to provide a comprehensive rationale for each eligibility decision.

Provided one-on-one support to children with behavioral challenges by implementing behavioral intervention plans developed by supervisors or clinical psychologists. Fostered a safe and nurturing environment conducive to patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being, promoting independence and self-esteem.

Managed a social service program responsible for facilitating The Lanterman Act by assessing over 300 clients with developmental disabilities who resided in state developmental centers and making recommendations for their successful placement within the community. Coordinated a team of five licensed clinical social workers who performed client examinations and wrote a lengthy final assessment. Obtained and evaluated medical, vocational, and legal documentation before each assessment, attended client interviews, and interviewed medical and support providers as well as family members to obtain additional collateral information pertinent to each evaluation. Strengthened relationships with officials at State Regional Centers and State Developmental Centers by serving as a liaison with a strong focus on diplomacy, confidentiality, and tact.
