About Richard "Brit" Lay
I currently live on Cape Cod where I spend as much time as possible on the water. I enjoy boating, fishing, playing music and introducing others to this beautiful place. I am interested in a job working on the water. I have a 50 ton USCG Master’s license. I started my career, after Brown University, teaching English, coaching and college guidance at the Gilman School in Baltimore, MD. I then started and ran a marine science education program in Baltimore Harbor for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, based in Annapolis. https://www.cbf.org/join-us/education-program/field-programs/one-day/baltimore-harbor-environmental-education-program.htmlI have variety of interests and marketable skills including musical performance and songwriting (I have written and produced two albums of original songs) and I would like to connect with others to explore musical interests. In the summer, I offer light tackle charter fishing out of Barnstable Harbor on Cape Cod. We use fly rods and spinning rods to target striped bass and bluefish.
