Medical Office Assistant
- Prepare, maintain and process medical records of patients.
- Process financial patient information (Obtaining/updating insurance information, coding visits using ICD9-ICD10 and CPT codes, entering charges for office/hospital visits, balancing receipts for the day or month.
- Preforms computerize patient scheduling of appointments; generation of schedules, reports and forms as well as other related computer functions.
- Answer telephone directing calls appropriately including providing accurate and complete information when needed.
- Initiates telephone/facsimile communication to confirm appointments, obtain and communication referral authorizations.
- Receive and greets patients and visitors.
