I’m an aspiring occupational therapist with a passion for helping individuals reach their fullest potential by enhancing their daily function and independence. Since beginning my journey in 2021, working with special education preschoolers at Tonganoxie Elementary School in Kansas, I’ve developed a strong foundation in understanding the diverse needs of children with developmental and sensory challenges.In the summer of 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Pediatric Connections Occupational Therapy Clinic in Overland Park, Kansas. This internship allowed me to gain hands-on experience in working with children and adolescents, enhancing my knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions. I was especially drawn to the clinic's use of Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI), which deepened my understanding of how early reflex integration can have a profound impact on a child’s quality of life. Observing the life-changing benefits of MNRI solidified my passion for pediatrics and my desire to help clients reach meaningful, functional milestones.Currently, I am preparing for the next step in my career: pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. My ultimate goal is to become an occupational therapist who not only works with individuals but also serves as a resource for families, providing them with the tools and strategies necessary for long-term success.If you’re a professional in the field of occupational therapy or related disciplines, I’d love to connect!
