Currently at IKEA, I am responsible for daily rounds within my five departments. In addition, I am the go to for anything visual within those departments (lighting, banners, inviting and inspiring displays, etc.). I also partner with my sales steering co-worker to ensure that we are sales steering to the correct products and in the best way possible. In order to do so, I must analyze the sales numbers and create/update layouts to ensure that all products are getting the attention needed to make sales goals.

My responsibilities include prepping for rollout, dressing mannequins, as well as curating the top shelf displays. As far as preparing for rollouts my man objective is to clear all areas where new product will be placed and finding a new home for the older merchandise. When it came to dressing mannequins, I was in charge of pulling all looks from the catalog, steaming the apparel and placing it on the mannequin. At times when the clothing was too big for the mannequin, I was responsible for the pinning of the apparel. Curating the top shelf displays consisted of me finding matching accessories for a room that would create more of an "add on" atmosphere for the client. These products could range from shoes, scarves, jewelry, etc.

While at Banana Republic I was in charge of styling icons (mannequins) as well as merchandising rooms during rollout. While t Banana Republic, I realized that one of my specialties included color and pattern. I became very good at places colors and patterns together so that there was a flow. Most of my color and pattern projects dealt with ties, and after re-merchandising them, the store observed an significant percentage increase in the amount of ties being sold. In addition to the ties, I was also in charge of all accessories for men. My responsibilities included opening all accessory shipment boxes and placing new items on the floor and back-stocking all others. This also lead to the responsibility of organizing the men's accessory stock room. While at Banana Republic, I also was given signage projects, which consisted of placing all promotion signage in the proper places. When placing out the signage, if there was a merchandise move that needed to be made to make the signage easier to read and understand, I had the power to do so.
