This helps to build personal relationships with customers, which keep them coming back for more. The Personal Book system makes it easy to keep in contact with these customers, so that I could reach out for special events and send thank you cards.I learned about the importance of customer service and the power of clientele-ing to build a business. I became an excellent personal-stylist and found out a lot of information on the target demographic and how they like to shop.

Lupo is a very large active-wear company in Brazil. A small team has brought the company to the United States, but it is essentially a start up. As an intern, it was my job to get name recognition out there by handling the social media for their women's wear line. I also got to do some work on the company website by writing product descriptions and making the brand appeal more to the American public.

Plato's Closet is a very unique retail environment. Unlike most stores, they have the whole fashion spectrum, covering everything from luxury, to mass produced garments, and everything in between. It is important, as an employee, to have a very good understanding of current trends and what is selling.As a sales Associate, I had a lot of fun seeing the new clothes that came in everyday. There was so much to choose from, which made making outfits and suggesting items challenging and exciting. I also got to go through the buyers training course that certified me to essentially buy the clothes for the store. Since the customers provided us with the product, I was able to build quality relationships with clients who could both spend and make money in the same place. It was always a great experience when what one customer was selling, is what another customer was looking to buy.

Anthropologie is a brand that supports free-thinking, this is clearly reflected if you have ever visited any of their stores. The window displays are massive, and are composed of unusual materials, which come together to tell a story. Each display takes weeks of prep time before it can be installed. I got to work on every step of this process, from the initial idea, all the way through to the finished result. To put this in perspective, in the three months I worked there, we only completely constructed two complete window displays.
