As the Director of Shine, my goal is to not only provide assistance to the community, but to help build up other leaders to succeed. I am passionate about helping others see their potential, and giving them tools to lead them on a path to fruition. SHINE (Shaping Healthy Identities through Nurturing and Empowerment) is a faith-based nonprofit organization seeks to offer hope, empowerment, and a brighter future to young women and men, by creating programs for mentoring and business development.SHINE girls group is a program for teenage girls between the ages of 12-18. SHINE combines curriculum with fun activities to boost self-esteem and encourage healthy decision-making. SHINE has partnered with social services and high school counselors to identify girls who can best benefit from the program. ThriveTHRIVE is a program designed to help students “thrive” in becoming who they were created to be, leading with topics such as goals, leadership, and life choices, along with group activities and games. Artisan ProjectEach week, young women in need of financial assistance have the opportunity to make various crafts/jewelry and receive encouragement from local volunteer leaders. Products are sold with an explanation that the funds go back to women’s empowerment. Hope HavenWe recently had the opportunity to transform what was a local bar into Hope Haven, which consists of the SHINE Center and a Children’s Home in San Pedro. The center gives opportunity to run our programs and provides a safe space for the community. We currently run the San Pedro Food Bank, preschool ballet, children and family counseling, student tutoring, and the above programs through this facility.

As part of the sales and marketing management team at Mahogany Bay Village, I have had a variety of responsibilities including: creating relationships with clients, providing private tours for investors, researching the changing real estate market trends, working with ad agencies and creating in-house marketing collateral, working closely with marketing team to establish best social media content, writing and editing marketing collateral, and helping others to see the value and philanthropy behind the project.
