I started my first business at eleven years old. As the wealthiest, self-sustaining pre-teen I had ever known, I began making big plans for my future and knew I was destined for a recipe of greatness mixed with mediocrity in many spheres of influence.Proceeding to work in various roles/levels in the following industries: teaching, food service/restaurant management, travel, mental/behavioral health, ministry/philanthropy, as well as owning/operating my own businesses in coaching with emphases in wellness, career and spirituality, my knowledge and skills base exploded and have culminated to everything I have done and have influenced who I am now. After a few years at a really fun job of leading teams who provide high-level support to entrepreneurs and executives in a variety of fields, making their lives easier (and more amusing) in areas not limited to: administration, business development, human resources, marketing, content creation + editing, event planning/executing, I made my exit upon recognizing my experience in and contribution to a harmful working environment and assisted other survivors in finding new employment opportunities.Since then, I've been growing, pruning, and cultivating an A+ team at an East Nashville general contracting firm, Building Company Number 7. Our work speaks for itself (it's awesome), but we run with highly employee-centric practices which shows up positively in every aspect of what we do. I enjoy the job (most days), and if you asked anyone on my team, they would say the same.A master of self-deprecating humor, you’ll never find me taking myself too seriously; yet, I do have a high sense of self-worth, prioritizing time management, communication and boundaries, in general. My boss apparently tells everyone I'm a badass, and while it's not untrue, I sometimes have anxiety about how I present as a human on any given day -- there's that neurodivergence for you. I work mostly remotely, it’s what works best for my brain, and I have a lot of experience managing teams remotely. Currently living in Seattle and traveling to Nashville every now and then for some face time with the local team. Virtual Assistant/Virtual ManagerThe Inside Story, Llc Mar 2018 - Dec 2018Nashville, Tn, UsEssentially I did the same things as I do in my Project Manager role, but with significantly less enjoyable titles. I also learned a lot during this time, helping me to thrive in my current role within the same organization. -
Executive Marketing & AdministrationSoutheast Business Forum Mar 2018 - Dec 2018Following along in my trend of enjoyable jobs, not only did I work behind the scenes to get ready for events, ensuring members and guests registered, lining up speakers and nonprofits to share at events, assisting with marketing of the organization and respective events; I had the privilege of participating in the monthly events and other networking opportunities which followed. I was thrilled to be able to lead/facilitate several of the chapter events on my own, as well. We coordinated and led events for three different local chapters: Franklin/Brentwood, Nashville and Technology. Despite all the value provided to members, this organization organically came to close in December 2018, at the conclusion of our last chapter meeting.

Family Support CoordinatorRed Mountain Behavioral Health Services Mar 2008 - Mar 2016Providing behavioral and mental health services to the Gila River, Salt River and Pascua Yaqui Indian Communities.Easily the most fun (and most bizarre) job I've ever had, you wouldn't believe most of the stories I have from this time period. Besides all the revelations of working with children and their families, one of the biggest things I took away from this time is the number of kind-hearted individuals who get their education and enter this field with a save the world mentality, then easily get blinded by the sheer amount of paperwork, deadlines and general emotional toll it can take on you. While there were times I was susceptible to the same behavior and burnout, I figured out some amazing hacks to make a tangible difference, increase the bottom line and meet deadlines, while not simply surviving, but thriving a helping profession. This ultimately led to my coaching endeavors which followed my time at this company. My tasks included:-Providing initial contact and orientation to RMBHS services-Facilitating new client intakes with clients and families-Conducting assessments to ensure optimal support to individual clients-Developing individualized, strength-based treatment plans with SMART goals to target clients needs in treatment services-Tracking individual client progress within our service-Coordinating with case managers and full teams of providers in CFTs (Child & Family Team Meetings) to maintain ongoing support for clients and families-Following up with families and case managers, administering surveys to ensure client satisfaction-Staffing cases, as needed, within all RMBHS departments-Engaging clients in therapeutic services such as respite, life skills and counseling, as needed-Discharging clients from services, as required-Developing new programs within existing programming, as needed-Planning therapeutic events for clients, as needed

Restaurant Assistant ManagerSonic Drive-In Aug 2004 - Mar 2008Atlanta, Georgia, UsWorked each position within the restaurant, eventually taking on role of assistant manager.Somehow , I managed these years without ever using common stress-reducing substances such as cigarettes, alcohol or drugs. I did exercise a lot. I wish I had the behavioral health background before this job; it would have come in very handy. While so much fun was had during this period, this has easily been the most stressful job I have every had. If you look at my entire resume, you might find it hard to believe; yet, it's true. Besides finding my management legs here, the biggest takeaway from this time which has been helpful in my career has been boundaries and self-worth. At this time in my life, I had zero self-worth. Someone putting a monetary value on my time was the only worth I knew, and so I worked 60-100 hours weeks, not understanding the toll it took on my emotional and physical health until some time later. Also notable, I worked here during and after Hurricane Katrina. Things were intense. Some of my responsibilities and achievements:-Managed 30+ plus individuals ages 15-65 on all levels of day-to-day operations-Created weekly work schedule for all employees and managers-Contributed to restaurant marketing in surrounding communities-Handled weekly and monthly restaurant inventory-Achieved Top 100 status of all Sonic Drive-Ins in the nation on a consistent basis under my assistant management-Won awards for competing and achieving Top 3 status of all Sonic Drive-Ins in the nation in 2006 under my assistant management-Planned restaurant-hosted community events and team building events -Interfaced with other management and higher level franchise operators on at least a monthly basis for troubleshooting and operations-Maintained profitable levels of income and labor on a consistent basis-In charge of hiring/training process and termination, when necessary-Assisted other stores, state-wide, in preparing for audits and recovering from failed audits -
