The sport of "Kabaddi" is one of the oldest games on earth. Almost all Indians are familiar with it , and the game has a sizable presence in the Asian Games and in various club organizations across the country. I was given the opportunity to be an intern with the Mashal Sports Management group, who served as the management arm of the Pro Kabaddi League, which was the first ever televised, pan-India Kabaddi tournament. Travelling to 8 cities across India, I was responsible for daily clerical work, interpersonal contacts, media reports, and other various management and PR tasks. I took the initiative to expand my work to include game commentary as well, providing game summaries that were forwarded to, translated by, and printed in the Times of India in many different languages. This also was my first foray into linear modeling, but this was before any formal education so it was extremely rudimentary.
