I interface with customers, sales, production, management, R&D and the technical services team while managing customer and technical projects to provide integrated solutions from conceptual product development through commercialization and production.

Support grant writing and research activities that focused on grant writing to engage in science and engineering-related projects to advance research and industrial efforts to reduce human exposure to hazardous and high risk chemicals commonly found in textiles, printing, ink development, plastics/resins, and a variety of other common industries prone to long-term exposure. All projects completed during this time were affiliated and in partnerships with the Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry.

I started Dragon Materials, LLC during my last year of graduate school with my graduate school advisor in response to industry needs for materials characterization services and engineering consulting, with a general focus on transport phenomena. I enjoyed the challenges presented to us by our clients while continuing to build intuition of industrial processes and material behavior. Research and innovation was a strong focus as we continued to actively engage in the academic community through publishable experimental work and professional conference attendance.

This research is funded by HP, Inc. -Use of various rheological, thermal, and surface characterization instruments (capillary viscometer, AR2000eX, AR-G2, DHR3, DOS, Vilastic V-E, Bohlin Visco 88, Brookfield viscometer, DSC, TGA, DMA, TRMS, KSV-Nima, FTA32)-Use of inverted microscope, high-speed imaging, and tools developed in-house to study fluid behavior in a TIJ/TIPS device-Systematically characterize the rheological and the thermal characteristics of various components of inks at specific concentrations-Custom design of thermal characterization protocols and procedures for model fluids and novel inks-Develop thermal relationships of model fluids and novel inks to aid the computational EMAG group to predictively model the TIJ process-Determine effects of weak viscoelasticity on aerosol formation, flight, and impact of DOD inkjet droplets-Investigate the TIJ ejection process as a function of ink component concentrations-Generate professional reports, presentations, and publishable materials for HP, Inc.-Proficiently use MATLAB for image and data analysis-Mentor 4 undergraduates in research, experimental design, safe laboratory procedures, and proper instrument use

- Managed lab space, EH&S protocols, instrument use, and equipment maintenance schedules of two heavily active research groups (35 undergraduates, 7 graduates, 2 PI's)- Acquired research materials and consumables for researchers and PI's- Acted as the primary contact for internal and external communications- Enforced the implementation of group and university lab safety and hygiene requirements

Troubleshoot GPC system variance and errors.Perform maintenance on each component of GPC system to bring up to working order:-Clean key functional components of lab-scale pump, RI detector, manual injector, inline filter holder, GPC/SEC columns, and MALS detector-Flush individual system components-Flush system piecewise to reduce potential for equipment malfunction-Normalize and calibrate MALS detectorMaintain accurate records of GPC use and maintenance operations.Run samples and analyze using ASTRA V software.Build calibration curves for PEO standards of various molecular weights.

- Assist students with coursework, Matlab questions, and troubleshooting Matlab code errors- Assist with use and development of Lego Mindstorms NXT for classroom applications- Guide laboratory recitations - Develop in-class laboratory exercises and Matlab tutorials- Reply to student questions and concerns in a timely fashion- Manage 3 undergraduate teaching assistants- Effectively communicate student learning and curriculum issues to professor
