Early life:Born and raised in New Orleans, Britt attended two of the top ranking Catholic schools in the city for elementary and high school; St. Andrew and Holy Cross. After completing his primary education he went into the service industry where he worked as a server and bartender at a variety of establishments in the bustling tourism industry of New Orleans. He relocated to the city of Orlando after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina, and continued to work for the Margaritaville Company at their store in the tourism hotspot of Universal Studios. Several years later, he moved back to the New Orleans area to pursue a higher education while continuing to work in the service industry. Education:Throughout his years in the service industry, Britt held a deep interest in electronics as a hobby; wherein he taught himself the basics circuit theory. In 2009 he decided to formalize and further his understanding of electronics by enrolling in ITT Technical Institute's Electronics and Computer Engineering program. Throughout the program, he rose to the head of his class and in 2011 he graduated with highest honors and as a member of the National Technical Honors Society. However, he was unsatisfied with the limitations of engineering; specifically the inability for engineers to work on non-conventional electrical systems. Britt enjoyed tinkering and inventing as a hobby, and wanted to achieve a deeper understanding of electrodynamics to further his capabilities. To this end, he began to study physics at Tulane University in 2011, but chose to transfer to the University of New Orleans's Physics program; which had better option for degree concentrations. Throughout his undergraduate, Britt stood out as a model student, and eventually became the president of the UNO Physics Club, a student instructor for the LaACES research program, and was recognized with the STAR Student award and made Dean's List. After completing his undergraduate program in 2016, he began as a graduate student at UNO where he studied and researched marine bioacoustics and data science using Fourier and Wavelet analysis.
