From dog trainer to software app developer- who would've thought? I started my small business DogZenergy, as a student at UCSD. After several years of working 10 hour days, 7 days a week and taking care of 20-25 dogs per day, I was burned out and needed to make serious changes. That's when I realized that I needed to run my business like a well-oiled machine with systems of operation in place. The E-Myth by Michael Gerber and The Four-Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris, changed my life (as well as countless other business books during my own mini MBA). Now business has nearly tripled and we have 10 employees that represent DogZenergy's mission statement - to make the live's of dogs and their owners easier, happier and more Zen. By putting in place systems and an excellent team, I've been able to focus on my new endeavor, HANDLR, which is a small business marketplace platform that I have always dreamed of. It's the business operation management system that I've always wanted and needed, and now it's finally here. The best part is I've created a way to share it with other small business owners who have the same struggles that I've faced and conquered. Being a small business owner doesn't need to be so hard. With HANDLR, business owners will have the solutions to their most difficult, painful issues and will finally be able to gain the confidence to scale their businesses to bring on the help they desperately need and deserve. I used to work 12 hours a day and I had absolutely no free time to think creatively about my business or to experience other passions in my life. Now, I've been able to travel the world, expand my business into the business I've always dreamed of, spend time with my loved ones and now, bring to life my new big endeavor.
