I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics at the University of Texas at Dallas, under the Naveen Jindal School of Management. Being born in California and raised in the Philippines, I have been exposed to a multicultural upbringing. For all my life, soccer has been a passion of mine at different levels. Playing high school and club soccer from a young age has given me certain skills such as discipline, determination, and adaptability. Whilst being a student-athlete, I’ve joined school organizations and clubs. This means that time management is a value that will always be present in my life. Juggling between these two can be a challenge, however, it builds the mental toughness that is required to achieve academic and athletic excellence. My high school, Xavier School of San Juan, organized various formation activities such as Entrepreneurship opportunities and project-based Learning. I started my clothing line and acted as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with various other business-minded people. In the first weekend of launch, we were able to break even. In the project-based learning activity, I was able to formulate a bill that would help unemployment in the area and give valuable information on the process of conducting an interview. This was then presented in front of the mayor for possible passing. I was then awarded with the ‘Best Speaker’ award. Learning is such a huge aspect for me that is why I decided that pursuing higher education is a must for me. Staying curious and being determined while doing so is of utmost importance to excellence. I hope to achieve more throughout my college experience.
