While titleholder, Miss Kanawha Valley, I promoted my personal platform of Growing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Involvement for Girls throughout West Virginia. I was partnered with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals with goals to raise funds ($1,200.00+) and awareness for children's hospitals, as well as make monthly visits to the local CMNH: WVU Children's Hospital. Additionally, I visited schools to talk about STEM and promote the Miss America Organization at various appearances some of which include: IHOP's National Pancake Day, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, the WVU Gold-Blue Spring Football Game, and Barnes and Noble's Saturday Storytime. At the end of June 2015, I competed for the coveted job of Miss West Virginia.
