Manage a department of 39 full and part time employees with a budget of $4.1 million. The department includes the Gaithersburg Public Information Office, with oversight of the website and Cable TV station, graphic design and production, publications, marketing, promotions, media buying, press release writing and dissemination, media relations, speech writing, and photography. The department also oversees the Community Services and Homeless Outreach divisions, coordinating referrals for those in need, overseeing nonprofit and school grants, administering the City's CHARACTER COUNTS! program, and coordinating the operations of the City's Wells/Robertson House for the Homeless and street outreach initiatives.

Developed and implemented the strategic marketing plan for a 1.1 million square foot retail center with the result of increased sales productivity. Led center analysis of market research. Developed, implemented and evaluated annual marketing plan. Managed people, projects and resources including marketing department staff, customer service staff, advertising agencies, consultants and vendors. Developed and monitored a $1.5 million budget. Planned and executed local direct revenue programs. Developed media and community relations plans. Established and maintained positive relations with media and community. Performed center management duties as part of management team.

Managed an 800+ member non-profit business organization. Developed strategic plans in conjunction with all-volunteer Board of Directors. Implemented annual program of work, including business networking functions, political and educational programs, and community relations activities.
