After FutureAdvisor's acquisition by BlackRock, served as the PM overseeing one of our bank partnerships:-- Launched a white-labeled roboadvisor solution for a well-known bank to spec and on schedule-- As this was one of our first white-label launches, collaborated with our engineering team and other internal and external stakeholders to build features in a way that met partner as well as business needs-- Worked with other PMs to ensure we were all maximizing value across partners whenever possibleFollowing successful completion of the above-mentioned project, transitioned to role as PM for Outbound Communications team:-- Overhauled our product's points of contact with end clients-- Built and maintained a records and retention solution to monitor message delivery across channels and ensure extremely reliable transmission to compliance archives (a required feature to unblock a large partnership)In both areas of focus, responsibilities included:-- Owning an engineering team backlog: balancing incoming requests from multiple business partners (with varying timelines) and other areas of the business alongside my own vision and roadmap. Determine priority for ad-hoc issues and defend prioritization decisions-- Sprint execution: partner with engineering manager and engineering team to answer questions and resolve issues during sprints so that tickets can be completed on schedule-- Identify business needs and gather requirements, spec out new elements of the platform-- Roadmap planning (including BRD/PRD/ERDs)-- Excellent project management to keep disparate teams aware of progress on tight timelines

As part of our small team (joined when we had fewer than 40 employees), I saw concurrent projects through from start to finish in research, marketing, product, customer education, and communications. Projects included:-- Managing design and development work for the marketing-owned sections of FutureAdvisor's website-- Developing and refining FutureAdvisor's user personas (primary and secondary)-- Qualitative and quantitative research to develop and improve our communications and product-- Iterative user testing of product and prototypes-- Generative product research-- Creating and/or editing communications materials for use across the company-- Managing and directing vendors who help create content or aid in research facilitation

Branding Science is a boutique market research firm, specializing in positioning, brand strategy, patient journey mapping, and physician research for pharmaceutical companies. Though what I do in our small, growing San Francisco office can vary a lot from day to day, it usually includes some of the following:-Day-to-day project management of qualitative and quantitative market research-Management of third-party vendors when used for tasks like participant recruitment, survey programming, and data processing-Creating storylined presentations to ensure research findings are easily digestible and actionable-Traveling to and managing both domestic and international central location fieldwork days-Suggesting and incorporating innovative digital methodologies that create novel, engaging experiences for our participants and valuable outputs for our clients

Within a team that primarily services pharmaceutical and healthcare clients:-Create media research reports and provide actionable, research-backed insights to help clients shape PR and marketing strategy-Manage research projects from start to finish: collaborate with team and client to design projects; collect, combine, code, clean, and analyze data from various sources (including Factiva, Meltwater, and Radian6); create reports; present findings to clients.-Communicate with clients at all stages of project lifecycle-Oversee contract employees-Partner with teammates in Analytics and other departments to create innovative solutions and insights for clients across a variety of industriesPromoted from Research Associate to Research Analyst in July 2012

-Partnered with hiring managers for recruitments: reviewed resumes, conducted phone screens, scheduled interviews, and extended offers to candidates for various research positions-Presented orientation sessions to new employees in all departments, locations, and levels of the company-Onboarded over 1,000 new hires into HR systems-Partnered with my manager to roll out new employee onboarding system to allow electronic paperwork completion by thousands of remote employees. Took lead role in troubleshooting issues with the broader system as well as problems experienced by individual users.-Partnered with employees from other divisions as part of the Summer Intern committee. Assisted in the process of reviewing over 600 resumes and the interviewing of dozens of applicants. Also collaborated with a subcommittee to plan social events to introduce the interns to Chicago and help the cohort bond.-Worked full-time except during the 2009-2010 academic year (my last in college), when I worked 25 hours a week while still managing a full courseload, ten hours a week in the lab, and extracurriculars.
