I have spent almost a decade as an educator, and I am currently teaching high school English. I am passionate about education, and I love using my creativity to teach new concepts. I have also taught at the university level and have experience editing articles for academic journals. I excel at making meaningful connections with staff and students, creating an engaging curriculum, and creating interesting lessons and learning activities.I believe in having a growth mindset, where we are learning from each other and are getting better each day; changing the language from “I can’t” to “I can’t yet” is what both students and adults can work on. I love taking meaningful feedback and being able to get better every day. I have a MA in Curriculum and Instruction, a BA in English, and a BSEd in Secondary Education. I am certified to teach 6-12 ELA and K-12 English as a Second/New Language.
