When there is a good ol’ case of “who done it?”, I need to know what, where, when, why and how? I am someone you call a crime junkie! I am all about true crime! What makes people do the things they do and why has had a hold on me as long as I can remember hence, my fascination with the discipline of criminology. It took me a long time to come to the realization that I want to study crime and I came to this after I took a course criminology. I had not known there was a specific discipline but I knew when I had learned of it, that was it! I not only want to understand why people commit crime and how to prevent it, I want to teach people compassion for others that find themselves delinquent as the everyday person can be a criminal and there are extenuating circumstances that can lead them down this path.Though I am not currently working in law enforcement, I love my job as a Leasing Manager for Greystar! As a Leasing Manager I perform sales and leasing activities to achieve the community’s occupancy goals by working with prospective residents, I conduct community tours, as well as process criminal and credit checks. I manage the leasing staff to ensure all leasing procedures are being followed. I work with maintenance staff to ensure all work order requests are completed. I am accountable for inspecting and preparing all vacant units for future move ins in addition to continuously meeting goals and quotas set forth by supervisors and corporate personnel. Overall I have a strong aptitude for sales while building and maintaining strong relationships with our residents!I will be beginning my bachelors program in criminology at Regis University Spring 2022! Since beginning college I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in addition to maintaining a position on the Dean’s List each semester I was full-time! I hope to continue this streak at Regis. My ultimate goal is to receive my doctoral degree in criminology or forensic psychology and become a professor at a university so I will be a student for QUITE a while!In addition to being a crime junkie and college student, I love fitness and hanging with my kid…she is actually a dog, my German Shepherd named Molly. I am a massive wrestling fans and enjoy a good concert (darn you COVID!).Thanks for reading! 😃
