As a front of the house member you are in charge of four jobs. the first is bussing and cleaning tables for guest to sit down. The second is cashier, the first person to greet the costumers and take their order. The third job we had was runner, that means we ran the customer’s food out to them and made sure they got everything they ordered and that they enjoyed it. The final task was To-Go station where we assembled the orders that customers were picking up to take home and making sure they got everything before walking out of the store.

As a call with pride member we make calls to all the alumni and generous people who have donated to Hofstra in the past. We work Monday-Thursday and weekends. We also occasionally work in the student center to try to get the whole school to help out but writing thank you letters to those who have have pledged and submitted the amount to the school.

As a courtesy clerk our job was to bag groceries, make sure the store was looking nice and clean for the shoppers and pushing carts. We had the most interaction with the shoppers and ha to always have a positive attitude with them. As a barista I took the orders of people who were shopping in Vons and wanted Starbucks. It was one person usually and you were in charge of taking peoples orders, making their drinks to their liking and cleaning your cubicle area before leaving while also stocking items needed for the following day.
