MS Information Studies student at the University of Texas with a focus on digital collections and data and records management. I'm interested in how we organize and make information accessible. I first discovered my love for bringing order to chaos and connecting people to information as a Student Assistant in the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo University Archives and Special Collections. It became an absolute joy to help students navigate the library, archive, and university resources. After graduating in 2012, I began working at the Santa Bárbara Mission Archive-Library (SBMAL), first as an intern and then as an Associate Archivist and Programs Coordinator. At SBMAL, I had the opportunity to do a bit of everything and learned a lot about collaborating effectively with a small team, prioritizing, and project management. After five years at SBMAL, I enrolled in the graduate program at the University of Texas at Austin School of Information. At UT, I've studied records and data management and digital collections care. I also enjoyed serving as a Co-Director of the UT American Library Association, where we organized monthly readings and discussions about issues facing the information profession. I am currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the Public and Reference Services Department at the Harry Ransom Center.
