Responsible for the care of 1-2 critically ill patients including surgical, septic, head injury, ventilated patients, continuous cardiac monitoring, and critical care dripsCritical care drips include: Antiarrhythmics, Vasopressors, sedatives, antihypertensive agents, heparin/tPA, diuretics, narcotic analgesics, epidural/PCA infusions and insulin dripsAssist physicians in bedside procedures: Peg/trach, arterial and central line placement, intubation, bronchoscopy, EVD placementResponsible for the maintenance and care of intracranial devices, arterial lines, ventilators, IV infusions, and gastric tubes

Preparing patients for surgery by starting IV lines and going over proper documentation/consent regarding their proceduresPerforming baseline assessments and vitals while working in conjunction with anesthesiologists and surgeonsCirculating in the OR room by setting patient up to anesthesia monitors along with assisting anesthesiologists with endotracheal intubation or IV sedationWorking in close conjunction with General, Orthopedic, Gynecological, Plastic, and Neurological surgeons to provide proper patient care in OR setting along with ensuring quality care by being knowledgeable in OR equipment for these procedures
