Dedicated animal trainer and conservationist, I aim to help bridge the gap between people, animals, and our plant. Over the last 2.5 years, I’ve worked with many different terrestrial and aquatic species. Currently, I lead a team of 6 people in caring for 2.2 Asian small-clawed otters, as well as participating in our shark, penguin, and reptile team. I also care for several different marine and freshwater fish, as well as various coral and invertebrate species. Penguin Team: Assit in daily diet preparation, behavioral enrichment, training, and medications for 7.8 Black-footed penguins. Otter Team: Lead a team in daily diet preparation, training, behavioral enrichment, and vitamin preparation for 2.2 Asian small-clawed otters.Shark Team: Assit in weekly feeding, training, and record keeping for 3.2 white-tipped reef sharks, and 0.1 black-tipped reef shark. Reptile Team: Main caretaker and trainer for our 1.0 Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle, as well as assisting in training for 1.0 American alligator, 0.1 dwarf crocodile, 0.1 Nile crocodile, and 0.1 white alligator.
