Hi! 👋 I'm Brittany Dexter and I am the Design Director at Cincinnati Magazine. I'm a creative problem solver with over a decade of experience in the publishing world where I've honed my skills in project management, creative direction, layout design, and team leadership. In addition to my work as an in-house graphic designer and art director for Cincinnati Magazine I produce publications for a variety of clients, ranging from local arts organizations to a local seed company's annual seed guide. I've developed a wide-ranging skill-set from my client experience including strong communication skills along with the ability to articulate design concepts, patience, flexibility, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines at once. As Design Director I try to foster a collaborative environment, leading brainstorm sessions and connecting with other departments. I manage multiple budgets, oversee brand consistency in all promotional and editorial designs, work with other department heads to plan and implement new business strategies, and as a process-minded person I love developing workflow efficiencies. Outside my job you'll find me at a local park planting trees, tearing down honeysuckle, or honing my plant identification skills. I am an Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, focusing my efforts on conservation. 🌱
