These are mantras I tell myself to finish tasks and projects in both my personal and professional environments.I decided to pursue the accounting profession because it is both challenging and rewarding. Being an accountant allows my attention to detail and conscientiousness of deadlines to shine.While pursuing my accounting degree, I was exposed to several different softwares an accountant may be called upon to use, including Excel, Peachtree, QuickBooks, SAP, and SQL.I plan on sitting for the CPA exam this summer or fall in order to further my knowledge of accounting and to enhance my career as an accountant.I very much look forward to my career as an accountant. My dream is to find a company whose working atmosphere centers around employees, where the work is appropriately challenging, and I can spend my career as an accountant into retirement.- My strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in a professional writing course led to strong online collaboration in which the project received a perfect score.- Through tenacity and resourcefulness, I was able to learn many components of QuickBooks on my own before participating in a QuickBooks class sponsored by Kent State University.- The knowledge I gathered on my own about navigating QuickBooks led to the successful update of QuickBooks transactions, merging of expenses and revenues, as well as bank reconciliations, which were several years behind.- My ability to stay organized and on task has led to a de-cluttered office space and smoother processes for the revenue cycle.- My conscientiousness of deadlines led to the successful submission for several thousand co-operative dollars of advertising reimbursement for a client on a strict deadline.
