Hi, I’m Brittany! I work with women and families at The Well Counseling Center in Katy. My clients are recovering from traumatic experiences, healing relational wounds, and navigating challenging family dynamics or life transitions. I also have training and experience working with C/PTSD, depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and disordered eating/body image. I enjoy an in-depth, collaborative approach. I describe my style as a blend of compassionate guidance and direct support. I am trained in EMDR therapy and incorporate it into my individual therapy approach based on my clients’ goals. With couples and families, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy, an evidence-based model for improving and deepening relationships. I am IFS & somatic therapy informed. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy a B.S. in Family development. I am a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations. I enjoy using a holistic approach to work within the family system. I also have a wide range of skills from my other treasured position as Project Manager at Advantage Academy, a PK-12 charter school. I am a creative and utilize my skills to develop and maintain our district website, manage marketing campaigns, create content, partner with community organizations, and plan international trips. I am a strong leader and team player. I love engaging in my community through volunteering. I have volunteer and intern experience with foster placing agencies, children's homes, transitional housing, crisis response, and advocacy centers.
