• Conducted community health fairs which provided blood glucose screens, and blood pressure readings all while educating the patrons basic hygiene and infection prevention• Volunteered within a public hospital to collaborate with the RN’s to learn their style of wound care while also implementing our procedures to create a comfortable procedure for the patients• Participated in home visits providing head-to-toe assessments, vitals, wound care, and education both individually and collaboratively• Presented common diseases among the population to groups of 5-100 people to teach disease prevention and health education to aid in the community becoming more self-sufficient• Provided diligent wound care during home visits teaching improvisation and creativity with wound dressings due to unhygienic environments and lack of materials
