Successfully selling and detailing social gatherings to conventions through outside sales and inside sales. Attending local trade shows and sales blitzes to gain any local catering business. In charge of meeting with potential clients as well as existing clients to help gain revenue for the hotel. I have monthly sales goals that I have hit each month since the start of my new position. I work closely with our accounting team by collecting payment on time for each event. I also have been scheduling my own outside sales calls to gain future business for the hotel.

I am responsible for the overall operation of the Food & Beverage Department at the hotel. I meet with clients and assist them in planning their events. I have planned events and weddings with over 600 people in attendance. I help with the scheduling of staff for each event as well as directing the staff during the event. I have partnered up with several local event rental companies for referrals to guests. I write very detailed Banquet Event Orders to pass onto the Food & Beverage team to execute the set-up for each event.

Worked closely with the Director of Sales and General Manager to configure potential clients. Also went on individual sales calls to gain new clients as well as revisit old clients. Helped with the planning of very large events in the Bloomington area. Wrote Banquet Event Orders daily for upcoming events. Helped the office manager on running the Accounts Receivable and collecting checks from events. Implemented a new computer system that is more user friendly to the sales office. Also took on multiple marketing projects that became very successful and gained revenue for the hotel.

Learned how to run a successful business, from the sales process to the financials aspects of a rental car agency. Had a great deal of training throughout my time with Enterprise, teaching me the backbone of customer service, sales processes, managing national corporate accounts, marketing to new businesses, body shops and insurance agencies as well as existing ones to better our service. Was graded on sales performances as well as customer service and marketing. Learned how to overcome issues and present outcomes to customers to “make it right”.

Assisted in the scheduling and preparation of tournaments, completed monthly inventory lists, maintained cash register and Point of Sales system, implemented and trained employees on new POS system, gave direction to other employees, managed merchandise sales and ordered new merchandise, kept ProShop organized and clean each day, and greeted and met each member and public guest upon arrival.
