Brittany McDonald is a senior at Grand Valley State University, where she is earning a B.A. in Illustration.Through her coursework and employment opportunities, she has gained experience as an Illustrator and Gallery Worker. Her first successful Illustrations were completed as part of a class assignment. The Illustrations and feedback that were given inspired her to continue working with art and is hoping to publish her own webcomic. Since then, she has worked for a gallery in Saugatuck Michigan, where she has worked with a professional artist as well as met several others that have given her great advice and ideas for the future. After graduation in April 2020, Brittany will seek a position as an Illustrator for a publishing company. In her free time she paints, works on her comic and does B&W photography. She has a more interpretive style of art and is not worried about making her artwork hyper realistic, she is hoping to get into story book illustration and book cover art. She uses many different art mediums which include, but are not limited to, Graphite, Acrylic Paint, Digital Art, and Photography.
