As a third grade teacher, I employed hands- on activities and techniques to encourage student learning and build community within the classroom, and designed lesson plans focused on age and level- appropriate material. Furthermore, I was designated as the head of the third grade reading committee. I taught reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies for third grade students and modified lessons. As a teacher, I established and enforced rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among a class of 24 students. Also, I effectively worked with parents and collaborated with administrators and teachers for the well-fare of all students.
