• Responsibilities include a demanding array of tasks in a fast paced environment• Top priority consists of providing steadfast support to Platinum and Premium Insurance Agents, their policy holders, and injured workers• The claim process begins with an initial dialogue with the policy holder and injured worker to obtain further knowledge to assist with the efficiency of a claim in a timely manner• Further communication can extend to supervisors, witnesses, medical providers, and due to the severity of the claim, the agency• Daily Calendar Management, including, but not limited to, weekly follow ups with the injured worker, medical provider for status updates, and employer for possible return to work opportunities and/or status updates regarding claim resolution• Worked hand in hand with management, legal counsel, loss control, and the underwriter assigned to the agency involved• Participated in ongoing claims management process, including: monthly file reviews on claim status and open litigated claims, quarterly updates to the involved agency and their clients, and organized off-site meetings to inform the agency and agency's new client on the rules and regulations regarding covered Workers' Compensation claims for work-sites in one or more states• Actively participated and was an advocate for an open and candid work environment to improve efficiency and reduce claim cost. • Used critical thinking, problem solving, communication and decision-making abilities to thoroughly investigate Workers' Compensation claims according to AR, OK, & TX jurisdictional laws - an approximate average of 160 claims per month• Conduct quarterly file reviews with national accounts to keep them informed on claim status, dollar reserves, treatment plans, and work restrictions for their injured employees• Continuously educate new accounts, claimants and medical providers on new jurisdictional laws, policies and procedures• Work with approximately 35 customer accounts to quickly and efficiently get their injured employees back to work in a healthy condition as soon as possible through speedy and timely management of their claims
