I'm an industrial engineer working at the Oland Brewery. Growing up heavily involved in sport shaped me into a lifelong learner, and I enjoy myself best when I am learning something new or facing a challenge. I've been lucky to have taken on many roles that keep me learning, and have led teams across several functions. From the sustainability challenge of reducing the amount of utilities used to produce a can of beer, to boots-on-the-ground problem solving that accompanies managing large-scale construction projects, to learning brewing science while managing the brewing team, to completely overhauling our on-the-job training programs for our 120 person brewery; I love strategic problem solving.Many of my roles have required influence and collaboration across teams to accomplish KPIs and goals. Leading all sustainability initiatives for the brewery meant working closely with operating departments to analyze and implement changes, and build substantially into their routines. Leading learning & development for the brewery, both from a leadership and unionized team member perspective has required collaboration and flexibility to understand the team's needs and deliver training programs with the right content, at the right time, with a measurable way to determine training success.Outside my career, coaching high-performace youth sport is my passion. I have held leadership roles in coaching alpine skiing and water skiing, including head coach roles at the 2019 and 2023 Canada Games, and coaching para-sport at the 2015 Canada Games. I enjoy getting to give back to sports that impacted me so much as a young woman. I hope to have the privilege of continuing to coach all my life. I currently coach U16 alpine ski racing with a local club, and also enjoy teaching coaching courses as a facilitator, and spending time mentoring and professionally developing coaches.I am lucky to be a part of the Network of Allies at Labatt, and am passionate about equity, inclusion, and diversity.
