As a host I monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables, estimating wait times for guests, monitor the guest waiting list, and ensure that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. Also I am responsible for answering the telephone, booking reservations and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.

Perform customer service duties by serving and answering any questions. Had to keep a clean environment and clean the entire department after every shift. Prepared products for presentation. Delegated and trained potential/new employees. Also, use proper communication skills to address customer complaints.

Assisted in the development of a comprehensive database to be used in an analysis of spaces on campus. Conducted a room-by-room inventory of classrooms, meeting rooms and ancillary spaces and collect appropriate data on the technical, mechanical, accessible and structural elements of each room, as outlined on a spatial audit checklist. Required to accurately input the data collected into the Spatial Audit Database. The data collected will assist in the space coordination of Congress 2017 and will be used to support an increase in classroom quality across campus.
