• Trade Compliance
• Responsible for import broker requests including: providing product Harmonized Tariff Classification data, providing product Country of Origin data, researching and investigating missing import documents, reconcile.
• Classify according to the US Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff System
• Review and provide updates to clearance documents prior to shipment – anticipate and diffuse delays
• Interface and liaises with Customs Broker, Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Vendors, Sponsors, and Internal Departments to ensure proper classification and compliance
• Handles day to day compliance issues that delay the clearance of goods through the import entry process providing an optimal level of customer service to resolve shipping issues

I was responsible for receipt, login, maintenance, and disposition of samples, test articles, and consumable laboratory materials according to industry regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintains control of materials through accurate documentation and organized storage; ensuring materials are stored according to Sponsor.
