Trade Compliance • Responsible for import broker requests including: providing product Harmonized Tariff Classification data, providing product Country of Origin data, researching and investigating missing import documents, reconcile missing or inaccurate import data• Classify according to the US Schedule B and Harmonized Tariff System• Review and provide updates to clearance documents prior to shipment – anticipate and diffuse delays• Interface and liaises with Customs Broker, Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Vendors, Sponsors, and Internal Departments to ensure proper classification and compliance• Handles day to day compliance issues that delay the clearance of goods through the import entry process providing an optimal level of customer service to resolve shipping issues• Obtain all required import permits and export licenses (CITES, CDC, USDA, etc)DOT/ICAO Hazardous Materials Shipping Trainer • Host FAA and other regulatory audits as they occur. • Serve as subject matter expert and effectively communicate the critical components of the subject matter to their audience. • Created and maintain a training program that thoroughly covers the current regulations and any impending regulatory changes.• Application of learning principles, procedures, and techniques that are the most effective for adults learning new information and/or enhancing their knowledge of existing information. • CAPA for incidents of non-compliance (utilizing six sigma tools)Sponsor Contacts • Contacts Sponsors when archived materials have reached their retention dates based on the Master Agreement/Protocol for continued storage, shipment, and/or destruction.• Ensures that communications with Sponsors are clear and complete.• Obtains a contact for archived material that is contractually accurate.• Maintains the Sponsor database and schedule, performs checks to ensure all information is complete, up-to-date, and accurate.• Invoices Sponsors

I was responsible for receipt, login, maintenance, and disposition of samples, test articles, and consumable laboratory materials according to industry regulations and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintains control of materials through accurate documentation and organized storage; ensuring materials are stored according to Sponsor instructions and/or manufacturingguidelines.· Communicates effectively with supervisors, colleagues, Principal Investigators, and Study Directors.· Efficiently prioritizes assigned daily workload and uses time productively.· Collects and documents data accurately on an electronic data capture system or appropriate form(s).· Maintains cleanliness and organization of laboratory area, as assigned.· Maintains inventory of laboratory consumables to limit work stoppage and overnight orders.· Notifies management as soon as problems are identified that impact the integrity of data or assigned task and assist in mitigating problems.· Consistently follows instructions for receipt and maintenance of samples, test materials, and laboratory consumables.· Monitors laboratory storage units such as freezers, refrigerators, and ambient storage for compliance with SOP and protocol specifications.· Verifies receipt records for accuracy and compliance with SOPs and industry standards.· Assists with training.· Provides functional oversight, as requested, in the absence of direct management.· Assists management in scheduling and task assignment as requested.· Leads laboratory development and process improvement initiatives.Understands and ensures compliance with industry regulations regarding shipping and maintenance of specialty material types including but not limited to, biological matrices, dangerous goods, and Controlled Substances.
