Course Instructor at the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) School

Serves as a Company Commander of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Company, Biological Integrated Detection System (BIDS), part of a CBRN Battalion in a CBRN Brigade. Ultimately responsible for the ability of the company to detect biological agents and provide early warning detection of biological agents in combat. Responsible for planning and executing individual training of the Soldiers and collective training of the company towards full mission readiness in support of the battalion combat service support missions and state emergency missions. Responsible for sustaining mission readiness of materials and mission, task, organization, equipment (MTOE) property valued at over $24 million. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of four Reserve centers in four separate locations; Easton, PA, Hazleton, PA, Abington, MD and Fort AP Hill, VA. Responsible for the health, welfare, training and professional development of 155 Soldiers assigned to the company. Enforces the highest standards in Soldier appearance, morale, discipline and safety.

The Commander's principal assistant for directing, coordinating, supervising, and training four resource managers of a Combat Support Chemical Company capable of worldwide deployment support of Contingency Operations. • Led two 19-person teams in support of division goal accomplishment.• Developed and implemented system to reduce three months of scheduled maintenance services backlog thereby accomplishing unit goal to complete 100% of scheduled services on-time.• Coordinated the deployment of 20 pieces of rolling stock via rail and 58 personnel to an offsite training exercise with zero loss or damage.• Led and developed peers to standardize and improve effectiveness of maintenance operations; improved equipment readiness from 78% to 98% in two months, one month ahead of commander’s goal.

Led a 19-person team with a mission to accomplish company goals pertaining to worldwide deployment in support of national strategic objectives. Accountable for the maintenance and stewardship of assigned property valued in excess of $3 million.• Developed four non-commissioned officers to train three external units; developed innovative execution methods and increased the commander’s sphere of influence. • Managed the company’s complex Stryker Gunnery training and certification project resulting in eight certified crews. Led seven-person team in support of the Global Response Force mission for a 431-person battalion. Responsible for providing technical advice and solutions to line commanders and resource managers.• Planned and led battalion annual chemical training requirements, resulting in 97% of unit trained.• Analyzed data for five projects to advise the battalion commander for a variety of complex chemical hazards, resulting in the deployment of teams in chemically hazardous environments.• Rated by battalion commander as “Top 5% of all officers that I have served with in 19 years of service”.
