The Central SC Committee of 100 (C100) is the volunteer marketing group that promotes economic development in an eight-county region and the City of Columbia in the center of South Carolina. Its purpose is to provide private-sector resources to the Central South Carolina Alliance’s mission of recruiting capital investment and jobs.Membership in the Central SC Committee of 100 opens access to a variety of networking opportunities with others involved in the economic development community. Each year we host four major events, as well as quarterly membership meetings, and provide members with exclusive details published in our directory. These members-only events are critical to building relationships with the key players in our "Business Friendly, Business Ready" Central SC region. Brittany served as the 2017 Existing Industry Appreciation Golf Tournament Co-Chair. Held annually in the fall to invite industries to network with each other and the Committee of 100 membership. This event is also a thank you to our industries for their investment. She was responsible for raising funds to support the Central SC Alliance’s mission of recruiting capital investment and jobs in central SC.

SCEDA has served as the Voice of Economic Development in the Palmetto State since 1965. This professional trade association has more than 550 members, with representation from all 46 counties. Members include local and regional economic developers, as well as officials from municipal, county and state government agencies, construction and engineering firms, utility companies, attorneys, consultants, financial institutions, and higher education. SCEDA's mission is to enhance the professional development of its membership and to advocate economic development to benefit the citizens of South Carolina.

As a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM), Brittany is actively involved with the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) at both a national and local Chapter level. SMPS is the only national association that brings together business developers, marketers, owners, clients, and principals in the design and building industry. Brittany served as the 2014-2015 President of the Palmetto Chapter of SMPS determined to advocate for, educate and connect leaders in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (A/E/C) industry within South Carolina. Under her leadership, she initiated and facilitated the Chapter’s first Strategic Plan, which resulted in the Chapter’s expansion into the Upstate of South Carolina and gained the Chapter recognition for its growth by peers across the nation. Other notable activity includes her serving as the Chapter’s Communications Chair and developing their first website that included online registration and payment, in addition to Facebook and LinkedIn social media platforms. This feature enabled the organization to achieve record program attendance and revenue. As communications chair, Brittany was responsible for all communications and interface between the Chapter and members/prospective members. The new website allows members and non-members to connect between programs and events. As a result, attendance for the monthly programs increased significantly, membership grew and overall revenue for the Chapter experienced growth. The Palmetto Chapter continues to thrive today, serving members in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville. Established in 1959, The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center (GLC & VC), in Lexington, South Carolina provides a foundation on which the community builds its goals, plans, and events.

The Southern Economic Development Council is a non-profit, 501 (c)(6), membership organization. Tracing their roots to the fall of 1946, SEDC is the oldest and largest regional economic development association in North America. They have members in 17 states in the American South, including South Carolina. Brittany served on the 2012 Annual conference planning committee. The 2012 Annual was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Columbia, South Carolina

NETA is a public broadcasting member association that provides services to members around the nation. Brittany provided social networking services to establish and implement an online presence for the association. The initial Ning platform, established under Brittany's tenure, is still in use by members today, experiencing growth and providing new means for clear and open communication. - Facilitated and implemented the Ning website - bringing in 93 members. - Hosted online seminar explaining the Ning for member affiliates - Set up frameworks for the site's future usage - Established online presence for NETAhttp://netaonline.org
