As an experienced Licensed Psychological Examiner-Independent, I provide mobile psychological evaluations at affordable self-pay rates. I provide evaluations utilizing a room in the facility of the referring individual such as a therapist's office, doctor's office, or school. Other locations may be a possibility in some circumstances. By eliminating the cost of maintaining my own testing location, I can pass the savings along to my clients. An increasing number of insurance companies are declining payment for psychological testing services. Other insurance companies require PCP referrals, pre-authorizations for testing, limit the amount of time available for testing, or determine what mental health areas can and cannot be assessed sometimes disregarding the client's needs. Operating on a self-pay basis allows me greater flexibility to provide the type of evaluations that my clients need without unnecessary hoops to jump through, insurance denials, or unforeseen costs. I began Insight Mobile Psychological Evaluations as an answer to the continued demand for psychological testing services despite the decreasing availability for clients to receive these services through their insurance provider and local mental health agency.
