Founding Member and Co-Lead of the first statewide network of immigrant and refugee welcoming initiatives in the United States. Vibrant Ohio (formerly Ohio Welcoming Initiatives Network) successfully advocated and supported development for the State of Ohio’s Office of Opportunities for New Americans and New Americans Advisory Committee under Republican Governor John Kasich in May 2018. Co-grant writer for Vibrant Ohio’s successful grant award of $90,000 from U.S. national foundation in 2019 and developing an organizational strategic plan, communication and fundraising plan, and evaluation report. Additional highlights include: • Delegation member of the inaugural 2016 Welcoming Communities Transatlantic Exchange, a U.S.-Germany exchange program for refugee government and NGO professionals during the European refugee crisis• Program member of the inaugural 2017 World Education Services’ Skilled Immigrant Integration Program for refugee and immigrant workforce integration in Ohio

Fellowship focus in Public Policy, Migration, and Integration. Intensive German language training from October to February, 2021. Visiting Research Fellow, International Center for Policy Advocacy, March to June, 2021.• Researching the utilization and scope of narrative change and strategic communications at the city and network level in Germany, European Union, and internationally that supports anti-racism, social cohesion, integration, and inclusion of refugee and migrant communitiesThe aim of the Bosch Fellowship is to develop a new generation of Americans with knowledge of Europe and especially Germany from personal and professional experience, who are committed to strengthening German-American relations. The fellowship provides an opportunity for mid-career professionals to learn from and apply their skills in their professional sector in Germany and continue to expand and diversify their skillset.

Launched and managed Welcome Toledo-Lucas County (TLC), a regional cross-sector immigrant and refugee integration initiative that received national recognition as the second county in the U.S. to receive national designation as a Certified Welcoming community from Welcoming America. Additional projects and outcomes include: • Coordination of COVID-19 emergency response language access including interpretation & translation of public health content & community outreach• Lead grant writer and program developer for selection of $10,000 Welcoming America Resilient Rapid Response grant for COVID-19 language access funding• Supervised development of the Welcome TLC Guide to Hiring Immigrants to connect employers and workforce professionals to immigrant and refugee jobseekers• Implemented workforce practitioner & partner training in national Upwardly Global Jobversity pilot for workforce professionals to better serve high-skilled immigrants and refugees• Founding steering committee member for Welcoming America’s Welcoming Economies Global Network on economic integration (2014-2019) and member of President Obama’s White House Task Force for New Americans (2015-2016) • Developed and supported programs in creative placemaking, community engagement, and strategic planningAdditional duties included Chair of anti-poverty Impact Coalition, Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Coordinator, boards and commissioners management, and policy analysis and research on workforce development, county-owned buildings, and public transportation issues.
