As the Editor-in-Chief at Brite, I integrated Fringe Magazine into the Brite Revolution platform; curate, assign and edit all weekly web content; assign and edit every piece for the bi-monthly print magazine; communicate with publicists daily to set up interviews with their artists; manage a team of about 40 freelance writers; conduct interviews with high-profile musicians and create content for the print magazine and website.

I was the editor of Fringe Magazine from its very first issue until is was acquired by Brite Revolution two years later. As the Managing Editor, I conceptualized and defined the branding and development of the magazine; assigned and edited hundreds of feature stories about musicians and entrepreneurs across the country and created original content for the magazine.

This was my first job in Nashville, and it offered me writing experience similar to when journalists spend their time writing obits and marriage announcements. As a Legislative Researcher for the Tennessee Legislature, I wrote hundreds of laws in the form of resolutions on behalf of Tennessee senators and representatives.

As the Editorial Intern for this media group that prints two national trade publications, I edited content for both niche magazines and their websites; uploaded all content to the web and coordinated all search engine optimization.

I spent two years as the editorial/marketing intern for this high-end Birmingham lifestyle magazine. My internship initially entailed writing and editing for the publication; speaking on the local news about the latest features and coordinating bridal ads for the bridal issue. Then I was hired back on a contract basis to plan and execute the 2008 Portico Bridal Fair, overseeing more than 60 vendors and executing the event.
