Disney'S Animal Kingdom

My responsibilities are vastly ranged: in the first hour, I could be working on an internal conservation project utilizing computer programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, while the next I could be employing problem-solving skills to meet both my Cast Members and the Guests' needs. In this role, I am meeting the day-to-day functions of a 20+ team, managing several Wilderness Explorer badge locations and making sure they are functioning properly, role modeling appropriate, positive, engaging, and inspiring conservation based conversations, teaching the team about a variety of conservation topics, and employing constant team work with my fellow coworkers.

As the Conservation Education Operations Intern, I utilized a plethora of skills and techniques to teach, inspire, and motivate both Guests and my team of Cast Members. I also worked on a variety of internal projects, in which I employed several computer based softwares like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office. Problem-solving and efficient team dynamic were crucial points within this role.

As a Conservation Education Presenter, I staffed both Wilderness Explorer badge locations and various animal positions throughout Disney's Animal Kingdom. When talking with Guests, I would invite them into an animal experience, inform them about conservation and animal topics, and lastly inspire the guest to take conservation action. Also, I held a high level of integrity, positivity, and team work.

Disney'S Animal Kingdom - Wildlife Express Train

My role included many responsibilities, including spieling to riders, interacting with and helping guests, loading and unloading the train, driving the train, and monitoring for safety. Additionally, my guest interactions ranged from one-on-one to hundreds.

I answered phone calls, packaged and shipped orders, managed merchandise, worked with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Quickbooks, and input data. On several occasions, I also traveled with the company to large-scale conventions, where I helped set up the booth, sold merchandise, and interacted with customers.
