I am a communications and marketing professional, multimedia storyteller, and creative producer with more than 20 years experience. Prior to working in non-profit organizations, I was self-employed as a creative producer in San Francisco, CA. My work has focused on economic justice, racial equity, class divide and climate change and has been featured in various media outlets including the New Yorker, the Guardian, Washington Post, Slate, USA Today, Politico, the Huffington Post, National Geographic, Fast Company and many others.In October of 2020 I published a book, The Debt Project: 99 Portraits of Debt Across America. The book highlights the national debt crisis and its effects on personal identity and social structure in American culture. The project was featured in the New Yorker during election week of 2020 and has been published by numerous other national publications.I have extensive professional experience in the creation of digital storytelling projects, holding several leadership roles on collaborative teams working on video production, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and design projects for print and web. I have expertise leading the creation and implementation of successful, results driven, digital marketing and communications strategies to build strong brand positioning, ethical storytelling practices and increased engagement.
