I knew I couldn't sustain the lifestyle of sitting behind a computer for 10+ hours a day, 5+ days a week. But, realistically, what job doesn’t have you sitting behind a desk for at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.I loved working in advertising. The people, the ideas, the campaigns coming to life in the real world and most of all,seeing the work, work. There’s nothing quite like it.What feels like many moons ago, I threw out my back a few months before I was turning 30. And I wish I could tell a better story other than I was in the shower BENDING OVER TO GET SOAP.Talk about being humbled.Pilates was such a game changer that I decided to get certified and teach on the weekends to help other people like me (those that worked 9-5pm). I had been trying to figure out how to blend the two worlds of marketing/desk sitting and movement into something that felt approachable for people.That is how Move Every Day was born.A stretching resource for working professionals to encourage more movement in our daily life/routine.(Ironically, starting Move Every Day has me sitting just as much. Go figure.)But if I’ve learned nothing else - this statement couldn’t be more true…The more you move, the better you feel.
