Current• Recommends appropriate nutrition interventions to the non-surgical weight management population and bariatric surgery patients (pre and post surgery) in alignment with personal goals and lifestyle, ASMBS Guidelines. Assesses and adjusts diet regimen based on tolerance, weight changes, laboratory values, activity level, dietary preferences. Aids patients in implementing the lifelong nutritional requirements for sustainable weight loss. • Competent in meeting with patient via telehealth or in-person. Currently licensed to provide telehealth visits in WA, MT, OR, and ID. • Participates in patient group teaching weekly at virtual pre-op class, facilitates bimonthly support group topics throughout the year, speaker at monthly information session for all patients inquiring about weight loss options. • Evaluates and develops nutrition education materials, revises nutrition materials based on changes in guidelines and/or new recommendations. • Effectively communicates and works with entire multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. • Media coverage dietitian for Multicare in Spokane several times per year discussing a variety of nutrition topics on local news stations, PBS, and local newspapers. • Recognized as a Pinnacle Provider in 2023 based on at the 90th percentile or higher in the US for patient satisfaction surveys.
