Brittany Slaughter is a Director of Regional Admissions at Elon University. She possess expertise in event planning, public speaking, leadership, social media, microsoft office and 31 more skills. I have known Brittany since she was a student in my math class and a member of my video production team in junior high. Even back then I noticed the leadership potential that Brittany possessed so when she graduated to high school, I invited her to be a counselor for my summer video program. As a counselor, Brittany would lead a small group of students through different activities and teaching them about how to use the equipment. As the program grew, I was in need of someone to help run what had turned into a summer camp. Brittany was then promoted to a camp director position, a job that she held for the past five years. As a camp director, Brittany was responsible for helping to develop the master schedule, training of new counselors, assisting with the equipment, organizing the camp snacks, and assisting with counselor evaluations. Brittany would even take on extra responsibilities such as filming and editing an end of camp video and setting up camp field trips. As the summer program expanded to include a Lego robotics component, Brittany stepped up to learn what she needed to so she could help run that program. With this program, Brittany was now helping with a four-week summer program that included over 100 students and 15 staff members. Brittany’s leadership and experience was invaluable to the program. She has a great way of dealing with children and working with her peers. Everyone in the program had the highest respect for Brittany.
